We have a small fleet of fully accessible minibuses which are available for use by local community groups at non-profit making rates and can be used for a wide range of activities. The vehicles may be used for local trips to transport people who find it very difficult or impossible to use public transport.
We encourage all our groups to provide their own MiDAS approved drivers who must be registered with the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS). Our minibuses can carry a maximum of two wheelchairs or one mobility scooter. Please note that if a member of your group needs to travel in your wheelchair, their wheelchair must be a model which has been crash-tested. Non crash-tested models of wheelchair may be carried folded, but the passenger must transfer to a seat during travel. We can carry certain models of mobility scooter, but passengers cannot remain on the scooter during boarding or alighting and must travel in a seat. Please contact us for further details.
To use the Group Travel service you will first need to register your group with us. You can do this by completing our online form, downloading a form to print at home or you can contact us by phone and we will send you a form in the post.
Once we have received your application, we will review it and then, providing your group is eligible to use the services, we will post you a welcome pack with further information on how to make a booking and a confirmation document for you to sign and return.
